About Utah Mothers

WHAT WE DO

Utah Mothers provides programs that seek to nurture, lift, empower, and honor mothers in their daily roles.

Our organization strives to create an enriching environment for mothers to gather together to invigorate and rejuvenate each other as they share in the joys and challenges of motherhood. You may enhance your parenting skills as you immerse yourself in our e-newsletters and online materials.

The goals of Utah Mothers are to:

  • SERVE – Coordinate with agencies and other organizations to aid mothers and children.
  • EDUCATE – Offer valuable resources for mothers that can improve and advance parenting skills and education through annual conferences, the website, and e-newsletters.
  • HONOR – Recognize, support, and value mothers and women for their achievements and service.

OUR MISSION

To  provide humanitarian support for mothers in our community by empowering women through recognition, service, and education programs.

WHO WE ARE

American  Mothers, Inc. has been committed to valuing mothers through service and education since the first National Mother of the Year® was selected in 1935. Lucy Keen of Georgia was presented the recognition by Sara Delano Roosevelt, mother of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Utah has been associated with and supportive of American Mothers since 1946. Many outstanding women with ties to Utah have served as officers, leaders, members, and supporters of American Mothers, including Belle S. Spafford,  Barbara, B Smith, Barbara W. Winder, and Phyllis B. Marriott.

Utah Mothers is a multi-generational, interfaith, non-political, non-profit organization for women and men who recognize the important role of motherhood.
