All mothers are great moms, and the Mother of the Year® award honors mothers from every state and territory! The Utah Mother of the Year is selected from nominees from across the state. She serves as a representative of Utah Mothers Association and as the state ambassador for motherhood who assists Utah Mothers Association in accomplishing its mission and purpose. She also represents the state of Utah at the American Mothers national convention where the National Mother of the Year is selected from all state Mothers of the Year.
All nominees for Utah Mother of the Year will receive support and help as they complete the nomination process to become an honoree who will be presented and recognized at the annual Utah Mother of the Year Award event in January.
A nominee for Mother of the Year® must be the mother of one or more children. She should exemplify being a great mother and display the ability to strengthen family relationships. She should embrace the principle of the Golden Rule and the power of a mother’s inner strength to deal with the successes and challenges in life. She should also exhibit an interest in her community by participation in programs and services that enrich mothers, children and/or families at home, at work and in the world.
Nominations are accepted annually between Mother’s Day to September 15th and must be submitted through the American Mothers, Inc. website.
