2019 Utah Mother of Achievement
Jennie Taylor, of North Ogden, has become a symbol of resilience and strength as she has strengthened her family, her community, and the nation after her husband Brent Taylor, the North Ogden mayor and a major in the Utah Army National Guard, had been killed while deployed to Afghanistan. They are the parents of seven children.
“His life will not have been lost in vain, his blood is not spilled in vain. I will dedicate the rest of my life on this earth to making sure that does not happen,” she said.
American Mothers, Inc Utah Association honor Jennie for her continued dedication to her family and to sharing her message of faith, courage, and resilience with the community and the nation.
New Appointment as a CASA
Jennie has recently been appointed as Utah’s newest Civilian Aide to the Secretary of Army Ryan D. McCarthy and sworn in during a ceremony at the Pentagon.
As a CASA, Taylor will act as a liaison and representative of communities in Utah to McCarthy. In the secretary’s stead, Taylor will also be his representative to the Beehive State.
